Special birthday greetings to Peter, who was 100 years old on Thursday 4th March. Peter is a regular member of our congregation. It was great to see his card from Her Majesty
Welcome to the website of Stewartby United Church. We are a friendly group of Christians from various backgrounds, united by a love for Jesus and a big heart for Stewartby. We hope that the information on this site will be helpful. Welcome!
The church is currently open for services, from Easter Day onwards on 1st, 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.
The next service will be on Sunday 27th June at 10.30am, when Chris Fox will be speaking. After the service we will be to serving refreshments for those who can stay.
We can open for prayer on request. If you would like to come along please contact Elaine on 767057 or use the contact information on the website. We would be delighted to see you.
Guidelines from both the government and the church have been followed and you will be asked to use hand sanitiser before you enter and when you leave the church. You will also need to wear a face covering. We will be asking you to keep 2 metres away from other people, unless you are in the same household, and will be asking you for contact details, which will be discarded after 3 weeks.
Please be assured of our prayers for the whole community and do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any specific prayer requests, or any practical needs that we might be able to help you with.
We talked with organisations who use our church hall regularly to discuss the possibility of them being able to start up again. With the appropriate risk assessments in place, two of them had re-opened their classes.
The pattern for services will, from 4th April, be held at 10.30am each Sunday apart from
- the 3rd Sunday of the month, which is when we have held our T@3. We are hoping to have a prayer meeting at 3pm, but please contact us if you wish to attend
- 5th Sunday in the month when we will have a joint service with Lidlington via Zoom.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.'" (Psalm 91:1)
