Stewartby United Church

Welcome to the website of Stewartby United Church. We are a friendly    group of Christians from various backgrounds, united by a love for Jesus  and a big heart for Stewartby. We hope that the information on this site  will be helpful.                                                 Welcome!

 Church Building Covid-19

The church will be open for Sunday services again from 11th October. If possible, due to current restrictions, we would ask people who would like to come to contact us. This will enable us to arrange seating in the church, and to give you the necessary information. If you are unable to do so please just come and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Please contact Judy on 017988801174, Elaine on 767057  or use the contact information on the website. We would be delighted to see you.

Our church can also be opened for personal prayer. If you would like access to the church please contact us and we will do our best to open it at a time convenient to you.

Guidelines from both the government and the church have been followed and you will be asked to use hand sanitiser before you enter and when you leave the church. You will also need to wear a face covering. We will be asking you to keep 2 metres away from each other, unless you are in the same household and will be asking you for contact details, which will be discarded after 3 weeks.

Please be assured of our prayers for the whole community and do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any specific prayer requests, or any practical needs that we might be able to help you with.

We have talked with organisations who use our church hall regularly to discuss the possibility of them being able to start up again in September. With the appropriate risk assessments in place, two of them have re-opened their classes. Others will hopefully be able to follow soon.

The pattern for services will be

Normal Sunday services at 10.30am, apart from

  • the 3rd Sunday of the month, which is when we have held our T@3. We are hoping to have a prayer meeting at 3pm, but please check the website
  • the 5th Sunday in the month when we will have a joint service with Lidlington.

"He who dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.'" (Psalm 91:1)

Normally, on the third Sunday of the month we have a break from our morning service and instead provide T@3 which is a wonderful time to get to know one another better and enjoy afternoon tea together. Again, all - regulars and newcomers - are welcome, find out more.

We also hold a Bible study/prayer evening most Tuesdays at 7pm. More information can be given by contacting us.
