Stewartby Services and Meetings
Stewartby United Church's morning service (except for when we have t@3) is at 10.30am and all are welcome to join us. Refreshments are served after the service, which gives a great opportunity to chat to people, ask questions etc.
Children are very welcome to come - and while we don't expect them to swing from our chandeliers, we are more than happy if they join in with a joyful noise (or maybe not such a joyful noise!)
t@3 is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month, excluding August and December. All are very welcome to this event which is held in the hall. It starts at 3pm and generally finishes at around 4.15pm.
Stewartby United Church is called 'United' as it is a church with 4 different denominations involved in the sharing agreement. Services are led by members and clergy from different denominations, although currently the Roman Catholics and United Reform churches are unable to provide leaders for services. Services do vary in style of worship and leaders. Although there is no 'set' pattern this is generally a typical pattern of services;
1st Sunday Morning service led by members of the congregation or another
2nd Sunday Morning Service/Communion led by someone from St Mary's, Wootton
3rd Sunday t@3
4th Sunday Morning service/Communion led by someone from the Methodist circuit
After the morning service tea/coffee and cakes/biscuits are served. This is a good time to meet and get to know the other people at the service. If it's your first time we hope you enjoy yourself and you are welcome to ask any questions.
